Hi Gaz n Shell

I like your setup it's staright forward and easy.

I have just brought myself a Black Wolf 240 Plus Tent as I find that a camper trailer is little more than a trailer with a tent on top. I also have a Challenger PA 2001 which get's me where I want to go.

Hope to see you on the trail one day.
Terry

Hey Gaz and Shell,

We're not "travelling" yet, per se - just getting away for a few days here and there when we can afford the time out...

We roll with a Ford Escape and an Oztent Villa Dome - a big bugger with three rooms along the back and a sun room at the center of the front. It's meant to take two folk to erect and pack down, but I just do it by myself (much less frustrating like that :p).

It'll do us until we get / build the bus and hit the long black thing permanently

Cheers,
Mattt (and Dee).

Thanks guys. It's basic and easy to set up, which IMO is good, seeing as I do most of it! It can be a bit of a trick fitting everything into the Jeep, the boot area isn't huge.

I also have a 4 person dome tent with a vestibule but that takes twice as long to erect and pack away.

We've bought quite a bit of our camping stuff from ALDI, the 2 stoves, the table they're on, the tarp and poles, and our tent fan/light are all ALDI . If you haven't already check them out.

Great setup and great photos McJimbo. I've just bought a Dingo camper with the Oztrail 6 tent on it. Put it up so I could wet it thoroughly to swell up the canvas fibres, then put it away again couple of days later when it was dry. (Only took me 15 minutes to set up and 25 minutes to pack away.) Tried out the bed while I had it up and it was very comfy (so much so I fell asleep for 2 hours). Whole setup only 340 kgs. so easy for me to push around in the backyard. Will definitely keep an eye on Aldi for camping gear, most stuff from there is a.o.k. - even the 2 laptops I got from there. Happy camping. ... Val
