The Man From Snowy River Bushmans Festival

We have just spent a week come Monday camped at Corryong on the Rec Reserve/Golf Course, and I have to say this is one of the best run festivals we have ever attended, it got virtually washed out last year but the weather has been superb this time. Corryong is a town of about 1500 people but during the festival about 15,000 people converge here and it is getting bigger and better every year. A big congrats to the board who runs it and the planning that goes into it.

Cheers

Yes Pauline which way did you travel to and from Corryong we are also heading to Corryong from Albury doing the round trip back to Wodongo along the Murray , Road conditions for towing a caravan would be helpful

Hello all - I stayed at the Mt Mitamatite c/p and was very disappointed because I was told when I booked that there was a shuttle bus to the Festival - no bus when I inquired also no water on the powered site!!! so therefore no recommendation for this c/p as far as I am concerned. If I had known I would have stayed at the Golf course. I also found because of the big crowds there was a lot of waiting around to be able to see the events but by the same token it was very enjoyable. The fellow that won the overall award actually has broken horses in for us so that great to see. I travelled from Albury (Thurgoona) in a m/h and there were a lot of caravans travelling that way. There was plenty to do and see so I do recommend the festival - a must do for your bucket list.

You can stay at Golf course from Monday to Monday cost was $100, no power but water, loos and showers, plenty of room, very flat and plenty of room if you get there before Thursday when it all starts, also can have a fire if you want.............very very well run event and really do recommend it, this was our 3rd year.
