Broken Hill Racecourse

There haven't been any recent posts about this topic, so here we go.

Anyone recently stayed at the "Event Park" - but better known as the Broken Hill Race course.

We are looking at staying there next week for a few nights.

How much per night, are the toilets reasonably clean and what is it like to access power for your 'van.  Understand it either has 1 x shower for all or no shower at all (depending on which site you look at).

And can you discharge grey water onto the ground (assuming they don't have grey water points) from van shower, washing machine and sink?

Any help would be much appreciated folks

Stayed there 18 months ago. I think it was $25 pn ( maybe $20 ).

Showers and toilets were very good, power easy to get to and grey water dumped on the ground.

A pleasant place to camp for a few days.

The bride and I stayed there about 12 months ago. A little out of town, however a good spot.

If my greying matter serves me correctly stay a week and pay for 5. Power available on the fence line of the track, that's where you back your van into. Water available from the toilet areas. Just bucket it down into your tanks. Sullage onto the grass. Dump point is a little way away from the camping area. 100,000 toilets, but only one shower in the jockeys room. So if you are self contained no issues. If not, shower with a friend. (he he!!!)

I know water is an issue at Broken Hill. A town with a lot of history, however very disappointed with "Bells Milk Bar." Silverton was interesting, however been there done that.

Enjoy your trip its all good fun.

There is also power under the shade sails. Close to the toilets and showers.

That's where we stayed. Dump point on site also.
