not many adults survive 5 days lost in the bush. Lets hope the hospital give him the meal he asks for - like a big greasy Maccas burger, chips and coke.

Its great so many amateurs turned up to help the trained volunteer (unpaid) SES staff - shows that the world is not completely stuffed yet !!

We still have caring and compassionate people - thank you and we hope the States invites them to a function and formally thanks each one of them (the police keep records of every volunteer)

Fantastic news - reminds me of Stephen Walls, the 4-year-old who went missing in the New England Ranges of NSW in 1960 and was found alive after four days. The search was the subject of a song 'Little Boy Lost" by country singer Johnny Ashcroft, who said in an interview a few years ago that despite the song climbing the charts, he rang the major radio stations asking them not to play it as at that time there was a widespread search in Sydney for 8-year-Graeme Thorne, who was Australia's first kidnap victim as a result of his father's lottery win, and Ashcroft didn't want to upset the Thorne family by having a song about a 'little boy lost' constantly playing on the airwaves. Sadly, Graeme was murdered by his kidnapper. A long time ago but I remember both events like they happened yesterday.
