Not quite correct Delta18.

This is only necessary where the trailer GTM exceeds 2 tonnes.

( I stand corrected if the original 2007 Bulletin was released)

Only since I have been searching about "Break-away" units on the web, have I found there is another type of wiggly thing. The only experience that I have of these units are on the trailers at work, and they use a std. cable, it is not wiggly. Please don't get too carried away with the attachment of the cable, the towbar bolted to the vehicle becomes part of it structure. And to loose a towbar would be pretty dramatic.
