can someone tell me what this is?


Found this under the glove box, in my Mercedes 413cdi Motorhome?., is it a 12v cigarette socket?., or is it to read the computer stuff?. The pins confuse me. Thanx Fran

It's not a Cig Socket, So, I'm only guessing.... might have something to do with a computer that connects to this when your mechanic is servicing the vehicle.

certainly doesn't look like a standard plug in for a computer readout, they are usually under the dash/ instrument panel and one in the engine compartment.

Hi it's definitely the plug for the computer The mercedes has a round one your friendly Mercedes stealership will plug into it when servicing your vehicle.

Looks like a Deutsch, Cannon, Amphenol style connector like we used on aircraft.
