anyone know about a free camp in Monto

ok so I have started planning for the big lap and I found an item on the net about Monto opening a free camp last December but cant find any other info. Has anyone on here either heard of it or seen it and if so what do they have there   ie toilet, water, how long can you stop there?

There are public toilets at the gates, not sure of any other facilities.

Hi there, just come back from Monto area last week. Stayed at Wuruma Dam between Monto and Eidsvold. Toilets only + water. We loved it. can have fire, take wood, fishing, yabbies.

Check out Lawgi Hall, Gateway to the Callide. In camps & south of Biloela if I remember correctly. Always spend the night there on north trips.

Recently stayed at Lawgi Hall. Plenty of space and toilets and showers. They ask for a donation for use. The Lawgi Hall committee has not been able to hold any functions this year so the donations have been their only income and persons unknown have been flogging the soap and toilet paper. Lovely mural on front of the hall so stop and have a look. Also stayed at the camp at Monto. There is an on site caretaker and it's for self contained only and $5.00 is asked to stay there. There are toilets just outside of the area as someone has previously said. The Three Moons painted silos are just down the road from Monto.
