Small technical problem with 12 v mod

Hi all today I fitted  a new ctec DC to DC charger all good and working well lights work in the van, except the the old charge controller has no read out as the power no longer returns to the readout as it is now going through the DC to DC unit and I am guessing that as it was dark when I finished there was no solar input and the ute is not hooked up either so I am assuming that neither circuit is active will try again in the morning but has anyone else had experience with this.

The controller is a mark 22 by Speciality Concepts in the usa in a trail blazer 5th wheeler van 2006 model

I will check out there website and also ctek as well

Woody, if you've got a D250s Ctek then you have 2 solar controllers and cannot feed one into the other.
There are numerous wiring examples on the net and in the manual that may be of help.

Thanks Andy I were thinking about that point also so I have hooked the solar up direct to the battery like it was and all is ok now
As I only have one solar panel on the roof which is not enough, I will at some point be adding more so I am thinking that I would put them through the ctek dc to dc controller now if that's ok to do ?

Yes Woody, you have the option of running the old controller into the battery and the new panels into the Ctek but I would suggest that you run both panels in parallel and feed them as one into the controller of your choice. The Ctek is an MPPT controller and is regarded by some as the type to use. The SC22 is a PWM type.
For me, I really like the Ctek but having a read-out on the SC22 would swing it.
Connect the ute via an Anderson plug and good cable to the Ctek and you won't look back. (Except to ensure you're still hooked up !)

Happy shake-down trip.
