I am currently experimenting with a few ideas for attaching the guy rope.

I will take a photo later & attach to this or a subsequent posting.

 Hi Cupie,

Have a look at my photo on 'easy in,easy out' - which is really Screw In Tent Pegs Take 1. I use washers attached to the trace springs, the peg goes through the hole in the middle. Cheap and easy, no cutting, welding, machine work - just drill one small hole.

My version as shown elsewhere.

200mm Hex screw bolts and aluminium brackets I made to suit. $20 all up.

Down sloping slot to accommodate the spring.

They look good Dick.

Instead of having a slot you can pull the trace springs apart and feed a loop through a hole. It is a bit fiddly getting the middle bit out of the spring - you have to push the hooks over each spring turn until the loop drops out. But then the middle slides straight back up with one push.

I have made 5 the same for the front sun screen except just a hole in the long section to accommodate the occy strap hook and shorter and thinner bolts.

I use the same modified drill socket that suits my stabiliser legs.wink

 They look good.

I got four 12mm washers & 4 10mm ones.   Put a 12 mm washer on to each coach screw & then forced on a 10mm one to hold the larger one in place.

I'll make some of those brackets & thread them onto the guy rope springs & job done.

Took the Aldi pegs back & got a refund too.

My corner steady 3/4" socket tool modified for use with a battery drill fits the Hex Head coach screws too.

Hi all those interested in Screw in Tent Pegs . Here is the link www.screwpegsaustraliapegs.com.au

They have a link in an advert on this site and have a fantastic range of size pegs and SS washers available and a  Patent Pending Stainless Steel clip .

All very much cheaper than the big hardware retailers .
