Am going to it on Thursday. Not expecting to see anything different. Caravans there must be restricted to local suppliers only as when I asked a manufacturer from over east why they didn't show their wares, replied they weren't allowed to. So I'll be looking at the same old, same old. I'm only going because the wife wants to go.
May go and see the Brisbane show. a few exhibitors up there I want to talk to.
The late Ozjohn (Founder of Ozparks) who was a member of the forum said at one time that many manufacturers over east didn't bring their products over because of the cost and also the closeness to the Melbourne Caravan & Camping Show, apparently there was too little time between the show finishing over there to get things on display there to here as well as the cost.
Looking at the program there are many caravans etc made over east on display, this might be because they have local sales branches/agents over here though. One of the big ones from over east are Jayco of course (Perth agent Caravanland) I know Jayco send a lot of new products etc over to them to display in the show, then they remain on sale at Caravanland unless sold at the show.

We did a quick walk thru Wed afternoon. A few new caravan brands, same old, same old thru the retail section and pavilions. Going back for the day tomorrow to catch up with friends from eastern states. Put in our entry for the new Jayco van and did the passport walk. Priced a few bits that are on the want list but not the need list!!
