FLOOD WARNING FOR GASCOYNE RIVER W.A,


FLOOD DETAILS:
As at 10.40am on Sunday 8 March  the Bureau of Meteorology advises there is a Flood Warning for the Gascoyne River Catchment.
Minor flooding is expected in the Gascoyne River at Nine Mile Bridge during Sunday afternoon.
Rainfall totals of 15mm to 30mm with isolated higher falls of 60mm are forecast for the lower half areas of the Gascoyne River catchment for the 24 hours to 9am Monday.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:
 The Gascoyne River at Jimba at 7am Sunday morning was 4.73 metres (minor flood level 4 metres) and minor flooding is expected to continue during Sunday.
 The Gascoyne River at Fishy Pool at 7am Sunday morning was 5.53 metres ( minor flood level 4.5 metres) and minor flooding is expected to continue during Sunday.
 The Gascoyne River at Nine Mile Bridge was peaked initially at 4.3m at 12:40am early Friday morning. Renewed river rises are expected during today, Sunday.
 The Gascoyne River at Nine Mile Bridge at 7am Sunday morning was 3.85 metres and is expected to peak close to minor flood level (5.5 metres) during Sunday afternoon.
Current river levels are available from Department of Water at www.water.wa.gov.au.
