Hello all - well the countdown is on for the first trip (solo) - butterflies, nerves etc. are all there. I have done some 'different' things in the past few years (a couple that come to mind was swimming with freshwater crocs/flying in a helicopter with no doors) so I can do this - it is just taking the plunge I suppose.
Enjoy Nellie. Take your time, pick the right places to stop - if free camping, be there early arvo so you can move on if you don't like what you see. Wave at the rest of us - some of us will still wave back lol.

The amazing things you see when nomading Australia
Go for it Nelly, I am looking forward to hearing about your adventures and following you wherever you are going. Seems as if you have a good idea of where and what, so now just have to head out the gate and not look back...

Hello Frangipani - there is a lot of wonderful things to see up that way around Alice Springs - I loved the Olgas. Try to get to the viewing platform at dawn or a bit before for the sunrise over Uluru and the Olgas - the colours are brilliant. I am sure you will have a great time and yes it would be great to meet up one day. Happy travels.
