Top job !!
Be aware that there is an obscure law about ground clearance of mud flaps.
Years ago it was 2 inches from lowest point of flaps to ground on a flat surface.
I think you'd really have to $iss off someone to have that one enforced, though.

Hi George

After you mentioned the 2inches hight I went and measured the flaps, they were. 2.5 inches off the ground when the van goes on the back they go down ,soon as I fit the WDH  Up to 2.5 again, I have never heard of that before the 2 inches height measurement , I guess we are never to old to learn, I pinched the idea of fitting them off a Gentleman on another forum, they are bolted to the fuel tank guard plate, so they don't stick out like dogs n$& s like the $399.00 one,s that just my opinion ,hopefully they will work the same, they are removable when not towing,

hi olley,
I too have a 120 prado, and I made a set of flaps just like your,s , about three years ago. since then I have made a few alterations,,, I found that they were too low and created more trouble by lifting stones when they touched the road. I have found after several trips bush that for me the best height from the ground is 5.5 inches , no more marks on the lower part of the van and no stones on the draw bar and pole tube. but I found marks higher up the front of the van... I found that the stones etc were coming over the top of the flaps bugger! , how do I fill that space without making it look stupid and have a floppy rubber bit sticking up , well I made up a template out of cardboard from the outside edge to around the third bolt on your flap. this template reached up to the body and followed the contours of the body on the outside keeping about 3mm clearance and staying plumb with the outside edge of the flap ( note. on my prado each side is different ) . I used tis template to mark out the shape on a piece of aluminium about 2mm thick , after cutting out the shape and checking the clear ance I then used a good contact adhesive and covered both sides with rubber. I then bolted it on with the other looks ok and it works, last trip on the dirt was around 350k,s and no new marks anywhere

good luck, travel safe

Yep depends how flexable they are ? At speed they will bend back a little ..
Giving more height..

I made up a set for my troopy the other day. I used some 50mm gal angle and welded a couple of brackets to the towbar mounting bracket gussets and bolted the angle to the brackets. This means they sit in just behind the rear springs and a tucked under out of the way.
