I picked up my van this morning after having the awning replaced, and was talking about this to the guy and he said if they have not been registred, the thieves will have a lot of trouble trying to get rid of them. Interesting to see what happens. They must have known they were there, 2 I think are the only 2 in Australia........

on the subject of stealing RV's...........we were in Kalgoorlie, WA, about 3 months ago and in the week we were there, two 'vans were stolen from a CP. We weren't staying in that particular park, but had a drive through. It had the scan card entry system which drops the cable when you scan your card on the post and it was very open and well secured otherwise with plenty of other permanents (who didn't look scabby) and visitors.
We tow ball lock our van all the time after that - when its at home, CP or free camping. If they choose to force off the lock (hopefully they will leave us alone) and pinch the van, then we fall back on insuance
