So looking for some feed back, who carries a ladder with them while travelling? The reason I ask is not that I found Juliet but I had the hatch over the shower blow off whilst parked over weekend when on a shake down run, the hinges were shot as the plastic was brittle. So I got a new part and then went to the office at the caravan park to see if I could borrow a ladder to be told sorry no, because if I was to fall they would be responsible, but if I wanted to go hire a ladder that would be fine!
I use one of the four step ladders from Aldi that I strap to the rear bumper bar while travelling. The top step is high enough to reach over the roof.
Aldi have them on sale every six months or so for $49.95 - but their last sale was last Saturday so unless your local Aldi still has some then you may have to wait for some time to buy one.
I have won the same as rocky for getting to solar panels for cleaning them.

I had the telescopic step ones like Paul posted but they were just too heavy to transport around so they now live with someone else. I got some steps much lighter and can clean my Solar Panels from my hatches on the roof. I have to get the weather gods to clean the roof when they decide to dump rain on us.

we also carry a standard, Bunnings bought, ladder. It sits on the PVC pipes which are strapped to the inside of my tow bar and it takes the full width of the 'van. Bugger all weight
Theyre light and I have them tied on to the towbar with a couple of bungy cords and then secured with a combo lock chain (also from Bunnings). Doesn't rattle and cant be pinched easily. Guess its about 7 feet tall and more than adequate to get to my roof to clean my solar panels and anything else I might need to look at up there

I carry a seven step, step ladder. Gets uses a lot for all sorts of things. When I get up to wipe the solar panels down, I stabilize the ladder with a couple of tie down straps to the front and back. Don't particularly like it but do understand the OH&S concerns from the CP owners. Some wobbly wally of an old bloke falls off a borrowed ladder and then sues the CP. They cannot win, can they?

Today my "on special" telescopic ladder arrived from Deals Direct. When I ordered it I found I had a $50 credit that I had forgotten about!!!! A nice surprise thank you very much.
We need something like this ... Don't need the extra carrying capacity but the one from txt.com seems stronger although a little more expensive. ...... Post did not say if anyone actually has one and is happy with it ... Would appreciate feedback .... thanks ......
