Yesterday I had the opportunity to have the Pajero and van washed by a good friend and his daughter while I watched and sweated!!!! They own a truck contracting business, and also have a weighbridge. I had all the water tanks full and gear loaded as well as 3 x 10 liter water containers in the van,and including the genset, 10lts spare diesel and 5 liter unleaded for the genset. Also a heap of gear in the Pajero. These are the figures. Comments welcomed.
You also need to check the info plate on your towbar..

Ok Glen, I just assumed (always a mistake) the towbar would be able to carry the vehicle towing capacity. Should there be a plate attached to the towbar somewhere?
Paul, was the tow ball weight with or without WDH? One would like to think that WDH would remove some of the tow ball weight. Larry
WDH does not alter the ball weight. All it does is to alter how that ball weight is distributed amongst the axles. No matter what you do, if the loaded weight of the van is under 2500 kg the bal weight when not attached to the van must not exceed 250 kg and if the total weight is over 2500 kg then the ball weight must not exceed 180 kg. Mitsubishi do not have a sliding scale for ball weight for vans over 2500 kg so any vans over that weight must have ball weights under 180 kg.

That's how I understand it Peter. The WDH bars were laying on the weighbridge bed, so in theory, I could remove the their weight from the measured ball weight. At least I have made an effort to understand our rig. Plain to see who has too much time on their hands!!!
I wish I knew how you keep your van weight down. Again assuming your plated Tare is correct at 2252kg and your weighed mass is 2490kg means you have 238kg you have added.
So, at 2 x bottles of gas @ say 18kg, 2 x 90L water tanks 180kg (water only) , add to this 30kg water in containers, 5kg diesel, 25kg(???) generator adds up to 240kg of additions.
Where are your clothes, food, wine & beer ( ) hoses, mats, annexe etc? All that stuff that accumulates?
Don't take this wrong, I am not 'picking on' your figures just trying to understand them. I am assuming your van is loaded for travel?? If not then your figures look excellent.
In our case our van, 21'6" tares at 2260kg but would be onroad closer to 2900 and the genny rides in the ute tub.

We are heading off for several moths in a couple weeks with a new ute so, first stop prior to leaving hometown will be a stop at our weigh bridge to see exactly where we are at. I have a tow-ball scale so that is no worries to check.
