Cleaning fly mesh on roof vents

Our van has the 2 x 4 seasons vents and two wind-up vents each with fly mesh under them.

Given how far into the centre of the roof they are - particularly the 4 seasons ones, how do you clean off the red dust, leaves, bugs and other rubbish off them

The four seasons vents are easy to clean, take them out and wash them in warm soapy water. Putting them back in is no easy, fit the bottom in on the outside first then the top and sides.  All from inside the van.

The other room vents I clean from the top of the van.  I am lucky as I can walk on top of it.

Used to remove them as Phillipn described now I just use my leaf blower.....a bit rough but in and out cause of the fumes...........it doesnt take long and not as fiddly.

If you have a compressor blow them out with compressed air,very gently of course.
