Stormchasing weather wanderers

Hi Clyve and Jane here...we've been retired for 2 years as of the end of January and spend our time chasing the weather in Australia for 6 months every year and in the USA for the other 6 months (yes, we chase tornadoes too :) ). We are based in Trentham, Victoria in Aus and Hillsboro, Kansas in the USA.

We discovered that we wanted to spend more time on the road in Australia than we could afford while staying in motels, so we turned to a motorhome to allow us to spend as much time on the road as we were able...we'd both wanted to do this for ages so within 2 weeks we had found and bought a 2002 Ford Transit KEA 2 berth motorhome in Sydney, drove back to Trentham, changed the oil, packed the motorhome and hit the road.....

We spent the next 7 weeks wandering backwards and forwards through NSW and Qld, getting as far north as Mackay..then packed the motorhome up after Christmas and jetted off to the USA till July......

Loving the life and ready to start travelling again the minute we get home!! Meanwhile we're looking at snow outside and waiting for the storm season to start.....we put our photos up on the Facebook page in our signature if you want to follow a coupel of weathe rlunatics...

Nice to meet you all!!!

Jane & Clyve

Hello Jayne and Clyve, welcome to this great site, full of friendly people living their dream.  I know the thrill of excitement of which you write.  I have lived many places in USA and at one point in Oklahoma which as you would know is great for chasers lol, my friend Ben and I were into chasing storms and Tornadoes just like you both, sadly Ben passed away and I have not been chasing the storms since. The tornado belt sure has alot to offer people in this exciting adventure. All the best to you both, happy travelling. If ever you make it to Western Australia drop me a line, I'd love to hear of your adventures all windswept and swirling stormchasing weather wanderers, weather lunatics way to go. With a smile.    Regards....kisha
