Help to find your lost dog in the bush

I read on pinterest of a way to find your lost dog that has taken off into the bush. Leave an article of clothing (that you have worn for at least a day) where you lost your dog. Also leave a bowl of water. Don't leave food.  Go back regularly and hopefully your dog will be waiting there for you. Apparently, this is a trick hunters use when their hunting dogs do not return from the hunt. I don't know if it works, but hey anything is worth a try if you have lost your mate and have spent hours and hours calling him/her after they have taken off after a Roo or rabbit. Cheers Lynne

Good advice thanks. Fingers crossed we never need it.

If you have a dog that is prone to taking long walks then you could do like the responsible pig hunters and fit a tracking device on the collar. Please never abandon your dog just because he's exploring. We had dogs who were left behind turn up at my home in NQ bush, and you have no idea how sad it is to see them run out to the road every time a caravan goes by, only to stumble back in with everything drooping.

Love em and never leave em!
