Friday morning was sunny and cool at around 8.30AM and I decided to go for a brisk walk up to the promontory and then to the channel. Sally (Madnos) had previously suggested that I invite her next time so we did a brisk walk together. What a surprise Billeee and Jules came back to Greens for an overnight stay and Joan (Gypsy Joe) is here for a couple of days and to top it off Patty (halfpint) visited us for our happy five hours finishing at 10PM. Had the best time catching up and telling tall tales with the help of a little alcohol, the bottle of Anise has now gone but it lasted a couple of months since my birthday.

Saturday was a bright sunny day without the heat of previous weeks  Patty arrived complete with Millee and her campervan ready to camp for a while. We have plenty if time to catch up, it is over 12 months since I left Greens Lake and have only briefly met up since. Patty has been able to borrow a second car from her daughter who lives near by and is going to take Joan and myself out to Stanhope for lunch. Shower time this morning and will get dressed up in my one neat tidy set of clothes for the occasion.

Last week I bought the regulator from eBay and now have gone further and have ordered a 40 watt solar panel which will fit between the front basket and the first solar panel. There is a second access point to the roof housing and the plan is to use that to allow a lead through the roof down to the crankling battery via a regulator. Have also bought an anderson plug double adapter allowing a second connection to the roof solar and I will re-route the front panel directly instead of down through the door and across the floor.

This is the biggest craft I have seen at Greens, it looked huge in the water but on the trailer it was enormous. I walked up and asked for permission to photo it and it was readily given. Took another walk around the camp catching up with the other GNs and found that Michael and Barb had returned, next to them Lyn (Travelling Lyn) for an overnight stopover. Had a quiet evening with Joan and Patty under the awning.

Monday and Patty had been saving up a few small maintenance jobs for me to do when we caught up. I was able to do a couple and take measurements for 2 others ready for a trip to Mitre 10 in Rochester tomorrow. Her latest awning style needs more tent poles and with no where to fit them she decided to put a pipe on the back step and the bed/seat needs smaller support allowing more room underneath for storage. I visited the happy hour at Michael's place for an enjoyable time.

Tuesday and as planned we made a trip to Mitre 10 and bought stuff to put the pipe in place and back hinges and off cuts to support the bed. Plenty of time for lunch and a visit to IGA then by the time we got back that was it for the day. I got out the choofer and prepared a meal for Patty, her grandson and myself. Used the big cast frying pan for the first time in ages, chicken, onions, mixed veges, italian herbs and chips tasted OK but a bit dry for my taste probably needed the sauces that I disposed of due to the preservative content.

Wednesday and I got stuck into fixing the pipe across the back step of Patty's camper, easier said than done and I needed an extra pair of hands plus some additional tools but Ted came to the rescue. Still a couple od things to do like moving up the number plate to afford better visibility and stopping the potential rattle when driving. Tomorrow will be fine for those and the other small jobs. Removed the verdigris around the battery terminals added vaseline and suddenly the regulator worked again.

Very hot today and I went swimming in the lake, then socializing with Ken and his wife Lynne who arrived back at Greens today. Had a trip to Girgarre to fill a gas bottle and bought a mouse trap after seeing a small brown mouse last night in the bus. Patty's family visited during the afternoon and her grandson called in to the camp away from his own camp set up near the channel. A great day was had by all with the wind keeping away. Now doing the internet thing and will be watching a TV series on a DVD that Patty had lent to me.

Don't bother to watch the supposed comedy "The worst week of my life" I stuck to it for about 20 minutes before turning it off. Thursday and another hot day but I finished the jobs that Patty had saved up for me before it was too hot. We went swimming in the lake and had a relaxing afternoon. Visited the happy hour at Michael's place had a meal then on to the laptop to catch up and post.
