There is another Chappy on this forum spends his life justifying why we need expensive HR products now he will be here soon to promote this item as well. Ralph

....you can also buy pile cream but the fact one can buy it does not mean we all need to use it......
The H/Reece site actually discusses in their Q &A about any on going maintenance of hitches generally...says do not grease as it will attract dirt and grime and be detrimental but you may use their special formulated white grease mentioned previously...or dry silicone.
.Individual choice...it seems there will always be devotees for and against....I won't be using anything again until it becomes apparent I should use their white dry grease or dry silicone. Hoo Roo

20150110_172721.jpgI have just finishing fitting my genuine Ford HD Tow Bar, I also have a Ford Load Distribution Hitch

Normally I don't read installation instructions, but this time I did lo and behold in the Safety Notes - Installation and Operator Tips

Paragraph 2 states ensue towball is well lubricated.

Used to be called "Zinc oxide" grease, many moons ago when I serviced cars, a little was smeared on your door strikers & the bonnet & boot latch to reduce wear on the latch.
