Introducing Myself & Jo my Wife.

Just joined, living in Perth. Began with bush walking and a small tent, then later with family brought a much larger tent. Then sold that and brought a Jaco Swam camper trailer and have recently sold that. Now we have nothing!

The plan is to skip owning a caravan and buy a 22ft fifth wheeler and tour Australia. Looking seriously at the Southern Cross models. Have just got the prime mover a Mazda BT50, now its thoughts to stage two.

Welcome from us too. Friends have just bought a 5th wheeler from the States (actually from Tuggerah NSW) and they are pulling it with a BT50.

Welcome Iana you will love the 5 th wheeler for safe driving they can't be beat be very carefull if looking at American ones quite a few are not up to the Australian standards even though they are out here.
We have 24 ft trail blazer with twin slide outs and love it not that we have been far yet still workin too hard to get away, gota do something about that, remember to keep your eye on the Tare and gross weights so you don't go over, weight should be your first question asked. Good luck searching

Looking at the Southern  Cross models, with a tray-top ute they have more height over the goose neck. Way to go yet, just sorting out the equipment list and interior design.

Have you looked at this one?

Cheaper than an aussie version it seems.

They are fitted out to suit Australian standards and finished off when they arrive here. Friends paid less than a large caravan.
