In a previous life as Phil C I had a number of significant meltdowns and bad experiences, some in this forum.
Firstly my profound apologies for those episodes.
I am now on new meds and they are working a treat, the BIG key here is doing what my doc says. We often get this attack of stupidity and think all is well and then wham, its on again. Not pretty for anyone.
Im glad there are others here with these wonderful mental things (total sarcasm). Because you understand what this is all about.
Lesson: Take ya meds, listen to ya doc and (to me) learn not to react..

Yeah Wombat, SWMBO gets a little stroppy if I dont take the meds and I get the hot tongue and cold shoulder, as well as the naughty room, which is a bit small in a caravan.

As a nurse from the Olden Days, I can say that they weren't really the "Good old Days" for people with any kind of illness which could be described as a "Wonderful Mental Thing".
