As our base between trips and a popular spot for grey nomads to to take a break I'll recommend

Boonah Automatics.

They are general mechanics as well.

Our "auto" got us home from the last trip---barely.

Boonah Automatics rebuild the transmission at a fair price & gave us a car to run around in for the 3 days of the job.

Explained all the work & went through the box of bits that were replaced. Very friendly as well.
