for those who must have a cold block of something in their drinks I may have a solution(well a solid not a solution)
fill your ice cube tray with scotch or vodka or rum or whatever you like to drink. then when frozen you can add them to a liquid of the same brew.
I reckon I might be on a winner here so must give a go.
bloody frank again
Only one problem you will need a better freezer than is available in any caravan. Without a bottle of liquid nitrogen you won't cut it. Alcohol requires something like -40c to freeze. Good try tho lol

Hahaha, sorry to burst your bubble KFT, (or is that bust your ice)... But I usually keep my Vodka in the freezer permanently. At most it goes a little thickish but never freezes.

Oh well it was just a thought I had that may solve that problem with ice contaminating my scotch.
You can buy cubes of rock designed to be frozen then use in drinks without diluting the drink. There are gel cubes to do the same thing. Freeze them - use them - then re-freeze.
I was always taught that when drinking fine scotch whisky to drink it neat of course but to close my eyes and block my nose when I sip it. The reason? If I see or smell the nectar my mouth will water & dilute the scotch, don't want that!
