hi everyone, strop and I have a bit of a dilemma and hopefully someone who has experienced this or has some good ideas can help.
We have a queen bed on slats and a queen mattress. As it is a bit hard we put egg shell mattress on top. Now it is most luxurious and great to sleep in. Now the problem. I sit on it , propped up on a pillow with my head leaning on the wall. Over time the egg shell mattress moves down the bed leaving a hole at the top. any ideas how to fix it in place? Sensible, on topic answers will be most appreciated.. regards. rocket n strop
Simple to fit a "fitted mattress" protector over the topper and the mattress together, we have a pure wool one, which is cool in summer yet warm in winter.
Seems to work for us, plus adds that little more softness and comfort.
Maybe a piece of plywood under the mattress at the end and about 600ml in with a thin piece of timber, say about 12ml thick up against the end of the mattress to the top of the egg carton topper. Should stop it sliding down. The anti slip stuff as well. Worth a try maybe.

We have used a fitted mattress cover successfully, Rocket. The egg-shell cover tends to stretch a bit where the most weight is on, but we only had a cheap one.

Works for us too. This is exactly our solution. With a fitted under sheet over the protector & mattress it makes bed making soo easy to ... as I am told.
