Interesting video Troopy - not sure if it's a put-on or the person making it is a bit weird. He even sands titanium rod with sandpaper to the shape of a Phillips head.
Regards

He made a pretty neat Torque Wrench, and his metal polishing technique is killer. See it here.

Exactly ....  I'd go for a put on.

Terrible handles ...  I think that I'd rather go out & buy a set of quality drivers.

Interesting cutters that cut thru almost everything.

You have to admit though, the metal polishing idea looks the goods... thinking of making one and polishing up my 16' ali boat...

You really think it's a put on cupie? Gee and I was keen to give it a go... they look almost as good as the stuff you can get from some large unnamed hardware stores too...

You have to admit, the metal polishing idea looks the goods though. I'm going to use that to polish my 16 foot ali boat.

Hi budding toolmakers,
Well I would like a pair of those cutters too cry
I have a lump of good cheese that I could fashion them from, with a kitchen grater hmmhmm Forging them to shape after heating with a match could actually work with that no
I did not bother to watch the other videos !
Have fun watching them Jaahn

Metal polish on buff pad and low speed electric drill does it even easier with excellent outcome.

I'm surprised someone hasn't come up with a low speed tool, possibly similar to an angle grinder, specifically for that task.. wink

Actually I once did a set of mags by hand back in the early 90's. They were deep dish Delta Mags that i picked up second hand very cheaply but pitted and corroded. Started with about 80 wet and dry, worked down to 400 grit. Then toothpaste, then alloy polish.. After spending a day on each wheel they came up like brand new. Luckily I had plenty of time to do it at work, I was in the RAAF back then

Great; believe this you'll believe anything - any way didn't realise screwdrivers were so expensive to buy to make this necessary. If any one is interested I have a nice bridge in Sydney for sale.
