Archives

Hi new folk to this forum,   If any new person is reluctant to post a question for any reason - please check out the archives.  There are stacks and stacks of good info there.

Probably cover just about anything you would need to know about caravanning and camping.  And I ask that no-one bother to add to this thread - it isn't necessary...

Thanks, Jay-Jay

Jay-Jay, when you say check the archives, did you just mean use the search button, or something else?
Apart from that I won't add anything

My question exactly. Everyone who is a regular user of this forum would be aware that the search facility is essentially useless. If you really want access to past threads, then you would be better off using Google's advanced search.

You blokes keep adding to the post when jay-jay specifically asked you not to...
But.. I think what he is getting at is on the grey nomads website page, click on the Nomads News, then when it redirects you, on the right hand side is a list of archived Nomad News issues... Well that's what I gather anyway...

I hope I haven't added to the post unnecessarily.

I assumed that "archive" was a reference to all past threads. If so, then to search for a particular subject, just replace "archives" in Google's search bar with the term that you are looking for.

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:thegreynomads.activeboard.com+"your search term"

If you wish to search Nomad News articles for "kangaroos", then ...

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:thegreynomads.com.au+Home+Lifestyle+"Nomad+News"+kangaroos

Of course if people prefer to read all the issues one by one until they find the one they are looking for, then by all means go right ahead.

If you wish to download an archive of all past issues of the Grey Nomads Times, the see ...

Sorry dorian, I have no idea... (Isn't that always a good helpful post when someone says that)
