Its time to hit the reset button..

My dear friends.

I have read a few posts that question why Cindy (webmaster) has closed posts, as I recon this one eventually will, I support Cindy 100% in her decisions regarding politics, religion and inappropriateness etc. ITS HER SITE!!!

The rules are simple, we are here to discuss issues concerning grey nomads, travel, great destinations, the fun we all enjoy in this great country and the freedom of this lifestyle.biggrin

One of the reasons I started this lifestyle was to avoid political and religious BS.no

So let us all reset, reboot, grow up and put ourselves back on track. Have a great xmas, and safe travels. Love and peace to all.

Good post there Phil,

Life is far too short to worry about the things we cannot do anything about.

Enjoy what you have, enjoy the friendships made here and out there.

and a very Merry Christmas to all from me

cry Phil. I think posts like this only keep the situation alive, ? and is NOT assisting Cindy one little bit, no only reignites the memories of the past, cry I think everyone who was involved in the original '' Kerfuffle'' have moved on,   Some left,   Some remained in a diminished capacity, and Some remained un - effected by it all, and some new members joined, see posts like this, a wonder why ??  -- The PAST is dead and buried, ? lets leave it there, and NOT mention it anymore, that way Cindy can deal with the ''Straglers, In her own way, in her own time, and get back to having her site run the way she wants,

The less she sees posts like this, ? the less repair she has to do, -- SO if any other post are made bringing up, The Past, or Religion, or Politics, The best we can do for Cindy is to Ignore them and do not respond, ? Then in a day or two, they will move down the line and disappear

 Hi Dazren,

I certainly didnt intend to reignite anything. There were a few recent posts that were asking questions re the closed (recent) posts. I believe that I acted in good faith to attempt to put a lid on it all. To some extent I agree with what you say, and thats a risk when we post stuff like this, however in the spirit of this site I still believe it is relevant to the time.

Perhaps time will tell if I have done the right thing or not. I believe Cindy will be happy to have it out in the open and reasonably discussed. Im not so naive to believe the post will last the distance to the next page without a crazy or two posting negative posts.

None the less, we are here to discuss nomad life, great places to visit and a few funny stories. From that point of view I concur with your post. However, It was put up to remind people why we are here.

Safe travels and a merry xmas.

daryl and phil - youre both right......but these posts are dying off and hopefully will soon stop. No doubt the odd one will pop up which winds most on the Forum right up, but, hey, we're nomads and we're table bangers and shouters!!

My wife cringes and disappears when we're shopping and we get bad service, because I don't put up with it anymore - I let loose and shout, rant and rave - its the only way some people get the message. Meritocracy is boring and is just not good enough - put up with it and walk away without saying anything ensures poor behaviours and attitudes thrive. And aside from which, aren't we geriatrics supposed to be old and grumpy (especially the fellas) lol.

But - getting back onto the subject (umm....what was the subject???)........these issues will just die off and we'll be back to telling all our 'vanning greats and lows, our problems and suggestions and favourite camping spots. Me......Ive got some very nice Yellow Tail Merlot and Im off to have a glass or two right now

I get really upset by people who DEMAND respect for their beliefs, political/religious /whatever, yet give no respect for anybody else's beliefs. As you say Phil, respect is earned.

I have been reading this thread for a while, generally agreeing with most, then I realised that it was all back to front.

Everyone should be treated with respect until they prove they do not deserve it.
