Closer still

Well after buying a caravan at the end of November we have now put an offer on a car - 2014 model Holden Colarado.  Paperwork on Friday if offer taken!    Looking forward to actually starting to go on trips.  Having never had a caravan before we will probably start with just small trips to caravan parks as Maz and I both work full time at the moment.

Hope all goes well for you on Friday Cadpete, I have the Collie and reckon it's the best but that is my opinion. Enjoy your short get aways.

Gday Maz n Pete

We have just come back from a few days free camping down south. I note down anything that needs improving on the van as we prepare for our future longer trip to the East - then cross them off when actioned.

Depending on your preferences - ie Van Parks or Free camping - there are sites to suit all near Perth. We like the short drive up to Yanchep and stay at Club Capricorn Cvan Pk - cost is $25 per night, or the DEC camps at Baden Powell (near Dwellingup) [$13 per night for 2 Seniors as they do not have power or water]

There is a setion on this Forum for Van Parks or Free Camp Sites by state. Or use Wikicamps on an iPad - its data is always being added to.

Enjoy
Glen

Thanks Dougwe and Treecrest.

The idea of short getaways was for just that thinking Treecrest - find the improvements to be made while close to homebase.  I'm sure we won't be the only ones to use their caravan at home on the first night!  Main concern now is wether the Council will remove the verge tree that blocks our second driveway so we can get the van into the hardstand I have refurbished for it.  Have a great Christmas all

Car now ordered, delivery next Wednesday hopefully - except for the Canopy cry.  Can't get any off of their supplier untill after the Christmas holidays so will get that fitted when I get the 3000Km free service done, sometime in the New Year.

Good one Pete. I thought of you this afternoon and wondered if you had gone through with the deal. Welcome to the Collie world. Enjoy.

Thanks Doug,  Woof Woof! (Collie's are dogs aren't they? biggrin).  You'll have to tell me the secret handshake now!

Well there has already been a change of plan - had a call from the dealer late this arvo and they can now get the canopy before Christmas, but that will delay pickup until the 20th.  I'm happy about that so slight extra delay but nothing to worry about.

Pete
