Hi we are about to start travelling and would like some advice on what to do with our mail, we don't really have anyone to ask to use their address and forward to us, but the only option we have seen doing a search seems really expencive,
Welcome to the gang Chris, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I get most things on-line now but when snail mail is used it goes to my daughter and I have supplied her with prepaid express post envelopes that she sends to a nomintaed PO that I ask her to. Has worked well so far. I even order things on line and get sent to a PO.

Land Base is on the pricey side. There are better cheaper ones out there. Google - Mail Forwarding and you will get a number of companies to check out.
Welcome from us as well to this great Forum. Mainly for when we hit the road, we set up a PO box at our local PO, and we leave a bit of cash in a little bag in the PO box for when we ring/email them to buy a bag and on forward our mail for us. I guess we are fortunate that our PO is a small franchise (?) PO and the folks there are really lovely, but we have had no trouble - they just get a tad jealous of us tripping all around the place and catching fish etc., and they have to work - but one day (not tomorrow) it will be their turn to join us on the road. There are no fees to pay, and they do it for quite a number of their 'box holders' who are travelling around. Hope this helps.

Hi Chris, Check out auspost.com.au/mypost or ask at your local PO. You can sign up with Aust. Post for a "digital post box" and then bills from selected suppliers, e.g. insurance, electricity, car rego. etc. can be accessed on line. You can also store documents like insurance papers, tax receipts, etc. by taking a photo or scanning them. I haven't tried this yet, but I think it should work OK provided you are in an area where you can get internet. Brenda.
We went through all our snail mail before we left and arranged for them to send stuff via email. There were a few who wouldn't but not many and they get sent to our PO Box that is emptied regularly by Di's son who phones us up if he thinks there's something important which he then scans and emails to us. The remainder accumulates until we are either back in Adelaide or he sends onto us using prepaid post bag to a post office we nominate. Works great and is cheap.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions have found a friend who is happy for us to use their address at least for a few months like the idea of the pre-paid bags too, and have moved most stuff to email
We use Pass The Post, more than happy been using Jo and the team for just over 3 years now I can highly recommend them.
