Didn't we do this before? lol Phil uncle Al might be paying a visit..

Cut and pasted from the previous thread:

RAAF 1972 - 1994 RADTECHA / Avionics Tech
EDN Rookies 72
LAV - RADS Trade Training 72-74
AMB - 2SQN Canberra Bombers / 482SQN F111 W/S 74 - 80
WLM - 77SQN Mirage 80 - 82
BUT - 75SQN/3SQN Mirage 82 - 85
WLM - 77SQN Mirage / 2OCU Hornet 85 - 90
LAV - RADS Maint Flt 90 - 94
WLM - TFLM Desk. 94 and got out.

Hey Bob

with that history you would have known a gunny - Dave Lamb. We both got in the sh** for raising money for the Aussie rules team at Willy by illegal raffles.

Auditors found too many "donations" mostly banked at welfare on Mondays,,,lol they were great days.

Cheers Baz

The name rings a bell Baz, but to be honest, my memory is crap these days lol. Remeber all the sections had their own small business selling everything from drinks, hot dogs, dim sims, smokes, chockies, then AFCANS cracked the poos over it, reckoned we were doing them out of business.

Yes, ASCO was what they were called back then too I think. I remember this cute young blonde that worked in the Laverton ASCO when I was there in the 70's ;)

Baz,

That gunny was probably "Shaky" Dave Lamb who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Cheers,

Grevo

Thanks Grevo.  Yep Dave was good guy, and unfortunately alcohol took it's toll. We had some great days at Willy in early 70's, aussie rules etc etc.

Another mate of mine was 6' 5" tall and an ex woodcutter in Tassie - he went to the RAAF doc and was asked how many beers do you drink??? He said 10-12 pints and the doc said Ok that's not too bad in a week. Mate said hwat week that's each day,,, doc nearly fell over apparently.

Cheers Baz
