Well yesterday we decided to have an overnight in Boonah showground instead of driving through to Brisbane, we had heavy rain here and could see a storm going around but couldn't foresee the damage that was going to be caused. Our daughter works at Archerfield and got her new DMax dented all over and the workplace lost the roof. Grandson couldn't get home from work because of a tree across the road, just lucky he had an excavator on a trailer behind his truck and unloaded it and moved the tree.
Some ripper storms in and around Brisbane for sure - but lucky for you quite often Boonah misses these storms, they take a right turn at Beaudesert, and head towards the suburbs of Brisbane.
Boonah has had it's fair share of storms, though, with hailstones as big as tennis balls, damaging vehicles, breaking windows etc.

At Eight Mile Plains, we just got a big blow & some good rain. No damage or loss of power.
My Patrol is at the mechanic's place at Archerfield where several light aircraft were up ended. Haven't had a phone call yet, so I assume it got through the event unscathed.
Update .. (Edit) ... Mechanic just advised by SMS that the Patrol is OK. It was under cover.

Here in the Lockyer Valley, watched the storm roll around, figured we would only catch the side of it. Only 1.5ml of rain, but a lot of wind. Caravan stood up to it all, annex and awnings well secured - came so quickly would not have time to pull it down anyway.
