Hi, we have just traded our 2002 Supreme Quest Poptop (19') in for a 2006 Jayco Stirling, 21'6" caravan. The poptop towed really well behind our Nissan Navara Dual Cab, no problems with sway at all. We're considering have ESC fitted for towing the new van, can anyone give me feedback on this, thanks?
We have a Jayco starcraft and had ESC fitted during the build. I have had the 20 foot van in the wet on dirt and sealed roads. The ESC is the best thing since sliced bread, keeps the van on track and stops the sway before the driver notices.
Expensive at $1300 plus fitting BUT worth every cent.
Safe travels

We have a 24 ft Supreme van and had a El Ko ESC system fitted by the Dealer prior to pickup. We've had 'vans in the past - this is the answer to all lasy people - no hooking up anti sway bars - just plug it in with the 12 pin plug and it works. Have been in northern WA where roads are too narrow and so many long road trains that would suck you in to them as they pass you either going the other way or passing you. ESC - no problems at all - no swap or wobble in the rear of your tow vehicle as this happens - best thing since sliced bread.
Even better - they fit a little green LED display on your towbar and it will glow green when plugged in as youre hitching up or not light up if theres a problem - so you know if its working or not

5 differences we have picked up on that makes the Tuson Sway Control / Dexter Sway Control TSC / DSC different to ALL the others.
1/Caravan brakes being fed from the caravan a plus, shorter more reliable cable runs and we either charge via the tug when driving or solar on the roof.
2/ I don't get why ESC LED monitoring systems are not on the tugs dash so anything goes wrong with the caravan brake system or ESC we are alerted while driving, at least TSC / DSC the led monitor can be viewed thru the tugs rear vision mirrors as standard and can be wired to the tugs dash. ...it will double for the NSW brake away monitor TSC/ DSC monitors the ESC and complete brake system.
3/ The TSC /DSC unit turns off on bumpy roads, no others do this
4/The TSC / DSC is Left or right wheel caravan braking to correct sway.
5/The TSC / DSC Varies voltage to the left or right brake depending on the severity of the sway / yaw.
TSC = Tuson sway control you import direct from USA around $700.00 landed DIY install or auto sparkie
DSC = Dexter sway control from Melbourne axle.....professional install only.
