I seen these pics yesterday of my eldest son and grandson(mini me).

 

As we approach Summer please be careful with fires, cigarette butts, and general safety when out camping. There is a lot of dry fuel out there ready to go up in flames. 

Jason is a CFA Captain and had a become a volunteer day yesterday down near Heywood in Victoria. He is a highly qualified CFA  fire fighter and if he could not milk his beloved cows, he would want to be a fire fighter full time. Still enough of my boasting. 

The post was more a timely reminder to us all. These guys will come and save your homes and people without question. Lets not have them getting on their trucks this Summer.

Wish there was more we could do to stop these moronic smokers who carelessly flick their lit cigarette but out the window whilst driving.

It does make you wonder, all over South West Australia signs say no campfires after 1 Nov. Still see people with all their camp fire wood tied to tops of vehicle.

I'm not one for banning things normally, but campfires should be banned in the summer months .

Far too much damage and loss of life occurs because too many people think they are too smart and

know it all. With fires in the summer nobody knows it all.

Today the firies have had to put out a fire started by a camper's campfire. Could have impacted so many homes.

Yes Shekon, it is frightening, everywhere behind me is very dry., todays rain was a welcome sight. You must be so proud of Jason and your grandson.
