no 240volt power coming in

rather suddenly this afternoon with absolutely no reason that I can identify 240 volt stopped comming in to m/h, have checked my other appliances - all the same not running, checked the power lead that was still plugged in to house supply, house has power ok .....any ideas?  We did have a black out 2 nights ago but has worked since then....I did have to change my plug last monday but it has worked since then too....not sure who I should call in....auto electrician/caravan specialist (hard to find around here) or ordinary common or garden electrician?

First check would be to confirm lead is working. Try another appliance like a hair dryer.

1st thing I would do is check the power at the house socket you are using for the caravan. That will tell you straight away whether house or caravan/lead problem. Are you using a 10A/15A convertor box with RCD, if so check that is working.

Hi;

   Has the curcit braker triped. Try pluging in a desk lamp into your power lead that you use for the caravan, see if the lamp lights. IF no to both maybe a electrician would help you.

Hi

As mentioned before check the power lead with a hair dryer, if the hair dryer works you have an issue in the MH, check all the RCDs and breakers in the line, from the power box in your house to the RCD/breaker in the MH. Try a different extension lead.

If there is still no joy, call an electrician, you may have a wobbly wire or something simple.

IMHO always start with the breakers, RCDs and extension leads, then the more complex stuff needs a sparky.

Thanks All, problem fixed, but I have been volunteering all day so unable to let you know until now....Phil C you seem to have had a similar path to my partner (now passed).

Everything is now working just fine and I have power!
