Placement of power bits and pieces.

The batteries and and Morningstar Pro Star 15 Solar regulator are under the front mounted queen sized bed. To view the info I have to lift the end of the bed. How often do you monitor the regulator?

A cupboard has the led monitor for the two tanks and battery, also the TV antenna amplifier and a ciggy socket as well as the 240 stuff. I have an analogue voltmeter and ammeter. The voltmeter could mount up there to measure battery voltage. I also I would like to to easily  monitor battery charging amps of the solar and the Setec.

Any thoughts? I will have my auto elec coming in a couple of weeks so I need to have valuable jobs for him to do for me!!!biggrin

Thanks Juergen, I found this BUT can't seem to find a remote to use with my Morningstar Pro Star 15 Solar regulator.

I have the Morningstar Pro Star 30. Thankfully mine is on the wall above the bed as I am paranoid and check it regularly throughout the day.
But I do have a problem with the waterpump switch being under the bed. First job for the auto electrician when I get home is to move it out where I can get to it easy.

Maybe I could buy this  and sell my Solastar regulator.

In a previous caravan the idiots placed the Morningstar Prostar 30 under the bed, stupid IMO, as you really need to keep an eye on it.

Being an ex sparky I rewired the thing to a cupboard using the appropriate heavy gauge cabling, simple job but fiddly getting the cables through so they didn't stick out like a sore thumb.

Make sure you also run a small fig 8 cable too, for the battery sense terminals as being more remote from the batteries it will give a true reading and perform as it should.

Dont think there is remote metering for the Prostar, there is for the Tristar 45 as I've got that now.
