The warships should be invited to visit. It could be a diplomatic coup. No joke, I mean it, why be fools for another Cold War in the making, with our new fighters playing chicken in the sky - ridiculous and dangerous.
The idiotic news media would have photo opportunities of all of those Aussie 'girls' welcoming them and doing their best to send the sailors home with memories. At least they would spend and leave. Not at all like the economic migrants who pay criminal travel agents very large sums of money and queued outside neon-lighted 'Wonderful Centrelink' are planning trips back home as R&R and to bring in relatives.
