Hi Kandagal, I think we must be genetically related.

I think I have to agree that although it is very unsettling and sad when someone leaves for whatever reason, it leaves us all a bit dismayed and sad like it would for any friend (with few exceptions) going away.
However the only way to get the forum back on track is to move on. To be blunt, if any of us have a bitch or moan about the forum or anyone on it, the best way is to pm the Webmaster and discuss it privately and see if the problem can be resolved or to express your thoughts on the matter.
Making a post public on the subject only tends to upset more people and makes everyone feel sad, bitter or angry about things instead of creating harmony which should be the case.
I probably haven't expressed this very well, but what I am saying is what the Webmaster has said, any concerns of any kind......
PM, PM, PM, PM...............
I am no different to anyone else and hope others can see where I am coming from as a member.
Bear in mind though that PM's may not always get answered immediately as sometimes Cindy is tied up on other matters or could even be out or away (she has a family and travel life too), so sometimes you need to be patient, if you feel your pm has been overlooked send another. It is impossible to monitor a forum 24/7 whoever you may be. We all need to help in some way to keep it on track.
My last word on the subject as I find it effects me to even be talking about it.

I agree with Gerty that often comments written are mis-interepted as being rude or offensive, when they are not meant to be - if that person what saying the same thing and standing in front of you (or even talking on the hpoen to you) their voice inflection (wow - big word) or their body language what tell you they weren't being nasty at all.
Scraps and nastiness happen every second on social media like Facebook where offence is taken, where none was meant.
If I ever feel I'm being "served one" (no-one bullies me !!), then I just simply ignore their comments and deal with those who are being pleasant or helpful on this, and other, sites.
I had both my avatar and signature taken down and intended to leave the site, especially when I saw all the arguing going on about the avatars and other things - like the techies page.
In the end, Ive decided to roll over and carry on, rather than pack my swag, take my toys, and go play somewhere else:)
Got my boring avatar up, still thinking about my new signature.................
BTW Am I imagining it, or is it only the long standing members doing most of the talking at the moment and very little coming from newer folks - lets hope we haven't frightened them off - they have so much to contribute and we to them
