We are in Glenn Innes at the moment and heard about the " Beardies" festival.

We are thinking about staying in the New England area and getting back to the Glenn Innes showgrounds in time for the festival.

Could be a fun weekend.

We stayed there last night... could have grabbed a drink if I knew a forum member was around.. we are now in Stanthorpe for the night then Brisbane tomorrow.

Bummer !! Mike.
You must have been in another part of the showgrounds.
I would have remembered a beastie like yours.
Try the Old Caves winery on the north end of town.(Stanthorpe )
They do a mean"old tawny port" & their mead is very addictive.
