We have a 24 inch tv in our 19.5 ft van and I don't think its too big at all. Where will the tv be located? I do know I have seen a couple of vans where largish tv's were located low over a bench, which could make that benchspace difficult to use.
I currently have a 15" TV in the small Avan and find it ok except for the tinny sound but the new van that will be with me this time November will have a 22" with much better sound system.
I do agree though that a TV can never be too big, in a house but we are limited in vans etc.

I just bought a 15" kogan. I'm sorry I didn't get the 19". To see the program guide I have to get up close to the screen. Anybody got a good pair of eyes to give away.
We had an 19" palasonic 12 volt with adaptor for 240, And now have brought 29" palasonic 12 volt with built in DVD player from JB HI-FI online for $299 plus $10 del anywhere in Australia , This TV is great and is lighter than the 19 " one .
Phil C, you state.. "we lay in bed at night to watch T.V., what could be better?"........are we all showing our collective stage of our lives by agreeing, there is nothing better?.....?.....lol....lol....are we getting to the stage where we can't take 'yes' for an answer...and may not lust much longer...?......yet Billlleeee urges us all to remain excited.....I do admit I get more excited these days when I can get the ABC on my Van T.V....... Gary K has an '18" in the camper'......you wish!......lol.....
My Kogan 19" TV/ combo DVD is a great size however the sound is very tinny..really needs small stereo speakers to boost I feel......stay excited...but not tooo excited......my dried arrangement could be re-arranged......lol.....Hoo Roo

We had a 24" to start with but found from our sitting position to the screen I was struggling to see it so sold it and bought the 32" model, absolutely perfect size for us.
Depends on where you sit and how far away the screen is, we had a 15" for years in our smaller van which was fine but did give me a sore neck looking up at it, due to position.

Hi
That is absolutely correct
A Tv that is to big for the viewing distance can be just as bad as one that is too small
My memory fails but there is a formula for the optimum size to viewing distance.
I have experienced the problem in a home where the Screen was massive compared to the viewing distance
May I suggest that you consider the distance involved then go & watch a few at that distance before you buy ??
