With so many great free or low cost options available in the great state of Victoria, why would anyone stay in a National Park which is under the control of ParksVic? Since the changes in July to site fees and the fact that you must pre-book and the absurd amount the government wants to charge you, most parks are unaffordable.
Places such as Lake Ratzcastle, which we also stayed at recently, are hidden gems. Currently we're at Dartmoor at Fort O'Hare with about another 10 vans and MHs. The vibe is so much better and the facilities are way better than most National Parks we have stayed at over the years.
Yes lovely part of victoria the grampians , we go there a couple of times a year, actually heading up the on the 8th of November with a couple of friends , If your looking for a nice meal , " The Views " is really good , beautiful setting and great service at a reasonable price :)
