Methinks they did it on purpose to attract more attention. By the way, that's the year I bought a brand new Beetle for $1700.

No, KJ, I don't still have the Beetle. Wish I did. I traded it on an HT (or was it an HG?) 1971 Holden Kingswood, the runout model before the HQ. I remember it was like getting out of a dinghy and into a aircraft carrier. But then I traded the Kingswood six months later on a '71 Beetle Superbug. And no, I don't still have that either.
