Found this wonderful place

Well here we are at a place called Nuttbush Retreat aka Pandurra Sheep Station. Its in the middle of nowhere 40 clicks west of Port Augusta at the top of Spencer Gulf in SA (for Dougwe). lol

Its a working sheep station and great CP (not expensive either). We arrived early and scored a grassy shaded spot and now we are the only caravan on the plot. Im told there will be a few more van this arvo.

Has a pool, Baa Baa Que area, restaurant and real nice hosts.

A few pix for you...

Off to Pildappa in the morning 200 clicks west.

Safe travels

We have stayed there in the off season when the kitchen was closed.

A nice quiet stop over.  We were the only ones there... except for the goats in the stock yard.

Entertained a young lass who dropped in after dark.  She was travelling alone from Sydney to Perth for a job, without much camp gear or food.  She had to get there quickly it seems. Convinced her not to head off across the Nullarbor at night on her own in a rather beat up old car.  We just added a little more lettuce & another egg to the chicken caesar salad & opened another bottle.  She had gone when we woke up in the morning.

Sorry can't remember, too long ago.

edit ..  I just looked at their web site ....  seems to be a lot more upmarket now compared to when we stayed there ....   Around $27 for a powered site now ... We didn't pay anything like that from memory.

We booked during a $22 a night special, so we are happy campers.

Looks a nice spot for sure Phil. $22 is better than $27 so any wonder you're a happy camper.

How about that... looking forward to meeting you there, be careful of the wind. We have a Jayco Starcraft and a ford ranger (silver) tug. Should be there around 1pm.

Cheers
