This really sucks!

On our last trip away I was washing the breakfast dishes in the van sink.

I use cotton dishcloths and had one in hand as I pulled the plug.

You guessed it!

Down went the dishcloth with the water!

I mean, really, the hole in a van sink is barely as big as a 10 cent piece but it just sucked that b****r straight out of my hand and down it went.

I think I must have stood and looked at it for 10 minutes before saying to hubby 'Ummm. You won't believe what just happened........'

Well of course he didn't believe me! "How in the hell did you do that?'

Had to bite back the sarcastic remark that actually I had been practicing for ages........

Cutting it short (I won't go into detail about the expletives used) about 2 hours later the dishcloth was retrieved.

Straightened coat hanger down the drain hole? No dishcloth. 'S' bend disconnected? Still no dishcloth. Finally found the little sucker at the junction under the van where the pipe comes out.

Needless to say we went shopping that day and came home with 1/2" thick Wettex.

Lets see it try and suck that one down!

Cheers

Had to disconnect the pipes last week to get out a small avocado seed. Slipped down beautifully and sealed off the junction where the flexible ribbed pipe met the PVC pipes Could not have been a neater fit cheers Daz

Wow!
We have only had a few grapes go down... they eventually showed up in the bucket at the other end.
I use a little tea-strainer if I'm pouring out water with "things" in it, (like rice grains). Sometimes it drains slowly, probably because of too much suds.

Try knitting or crocheting your dishcloths, they last for ages and are fun to play with as well as making great gifts.
