Hi Folks,

I just went over to Windsor Gdns c/van pk to visit a mate, and you couldn't help but notice all the vintage cars that were there...a couple rolled in on trailers as we sat talking.

So I'm guessing...I'm fairly sure actually that the Bay to Birdood rally is on in one weeks time...that's Glenelg down by the beach, to Birdwood, for the uninitiated.

There's no c/van pk at Birdwood, but there is a nice one at Cuddly Ck...which isn't too far away, and looks very pleasant.

So there's a reason to camp in the Adelaide Hills for a weekend, for those not too far away.

Not for us though...we're off to the Marrabel Bull Ride, or perhaps the river up near Mannum....to test run the Sprinter

(the bike is my old Yammy 650...my only transport for many years when I was a little bit younger)

I had an XS 1,and it was a great bike, though not good on Magnetic Is, where I live. Got booked for speeding first time I used it. Bill

Hi Bill...yeah those were the days...bloody nice bikes the yammys...though my front wheel used to shake like hell when it was idling.

I had at least 3 of those 650's all up...one of the best bikes I've ever had....not too many around in good nick now though.

I had an XT600 for many years too....another great Yamaha...just about unbreakable.

I lived on a yacht in Ross Ck for a couple of years...
should never have sold it...what a silly bugger I am at times !!
...anchored at Horseshoe Bay many times....what a beautiful spot.

Nice boat. That's where I live and run my fishing charters out of. Now have a postie bike, whichis a bit more sane thn the gpz1100, or guzzi 850t5 I used to own.Bill
