Travelling across the Nullabur !!

Hi Everyone,

We are new to Camping/ Caravanning.

We are about to hire a Motorhome to travel back from Perth to Melbourne across the Nullabur.  We have two options Feb/March  or April/May, can I get some advice on which would be the best time ??

The plan is, we will travel around Margaret River area ( Southern Part of WA ) first, maybe up to Kalgoorlie before heading across.  Then visit the three Peninsula's of SA maybe Barossa Valley down to Victoria Harbour and back into Victoria.

Any ideas for places we MUST see etc. would be helpful !! We have a timeframe of 5/6 weeks.

Want to book the Motorhome soon, so can anyone help me ??

Happy Travels  ROBMARMC

How, welcome to the gang Robmarmc, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Not having visited the wild west from the eastern states I don't feel qualified to answer you questions but enjoy the trip across.

welcome from me. i've not been over to the west, on your way over you should call into coffin bay it's the home for ousters then about 30 ks to port lincoln lovely town then make your way up the lincoln highway to port augusta lots of nice towns or ports to visit. when you get to Adelaide you have to call into Victor Harbor it's lovely down that way. good luck on your travels.

keep your eye's on this site, they do have Perth to Victoria MH relocations, you are required to do the trip in a certain time, but the cost is $1 to $5 a day

I would pick April/May as it may be a little cooler. I went east to west in March on one trip and it was very hot.
