We have a security door, as the people before us were disabled and removed folding door , we would like to put insect /door like caravans have ,does anyone know anyone who could do this near Werribee /point cook vic . as we will be there for a month. thank you
Noelene, Most of the caravan doors are pre manufactured to a limited number of sizes by Camec. They would be available direct or any caravan repair place would be able to order You one.
If Your opening is a nonstandard size a trip to Your bank manager would probably be needed.
Our Coaster still has the bi-fold main door, but has a camec security/insect screen door as well, that opens outwards.
The conversion was done for previous owners by Victorian Motorhome Conversions - Epping area. Might be worth seeing if they could do your door.
Made my own on the old Coaster, found a good sliding security door on verge hard rubbish collection pile, cut it down to size & fitted hinges & lock.
Trimed the top & bottom of the bus with an aluminium strip to finish it off, weather seal from Clark Rubber on the inside, looked & worked a treat.
