The plan was to camp overnight at Yaamba but I was not impressed with the roadside stop especially since it was only mid day.
I phoned Paul (My Van) and was surprised to find that he had left Cooktown and returned to Gracemere just south of Rockhampton and I was just north of Rocky so I decided to give him a visit. So I left Sandy (TrekenOz} and wife Lesley at Yaamba, they plan to go inland from Rocky, and Sid who I expect to catch up with at Calliope.
So I am camped in Paul's driveway having just watched TV for the first time in months, still the old issues with politicians misbehaving and war in the middle east all of which I do not need to know as there is nothing I can do about it.
The main thing is that Paul is fine and getting around well and catching up with domestic issues having been away travelling for 10 weeks, his garden needs attention too so he will be busy for a while before resuming his travels. John
Had a visitor this morning when Sheba called in, it was good to catch up with Gayle again and hope that she is able to make a trip to Greens later in the year.
It has been discussed so it will be good if she is well enough to make the trip.
Paul is looking good, [even if the legs are misbehaving,] after his latest trip away. It was great to catch up with John again too. He's looking the picture of health. Down at Calliope this evening I think.
Also met Rosey and Derek [Gerty Dancer] today. Will see them again before they move on. I love meeting Nomads'. The time always just flies.
