how do i stop ads?


Hi Everyone, Hope someone knows what to do. I have been researching   cars for sale and ads pop up for no reason (like tv ads) .and it is using up my data.

do you know what I have to do to stop them?thanks.

Depends on the browser your using, I use Firefox which has a useful feature called AdBlock, once installed advertisements simply don't load, have been using it for years without problem.smile

I would suggest in this day and age if your using a computer it would be in your own best interest to pick up a few basics, i.e. your operating system, the browser your using as well as an understanding of security regarding online activities and email usage.

Better safe than sorry.smile

Also install Malware Bytes to make Some ad have not infected your computer

My guess is that you have already let a trojan or 2 into your browser and they are giving you the ads...

Maybe you need to have someone a bit puter savvy look at your computer and get rid if the junk..

Got any computer savvy Grandkids, one of mine can get into a computer and work out whats going on, then fix it and tell me not to do it again LOL

My friends computer was doing similar so I download Malwarebytes and it found 175 lots of malware. Seems fine now.
